Circuit

Architecturally designed by Darren O’Neil of O’Neil Architecture Ltd, the four-bedroom Christchurch home in Strowan is sophisticated suburban living at its best. Following the classic lines typical of the family homes in the Merivale-Strowan region, this house contains a designer kitchen and scullery accented by marble, solid oak flooring, open-plan living with indoor-outdoor modulation, and cedar louvers.

All major living spaces offer functionality and flow on the ground floor, with the guest bedroom and ensuite and powder room within reach. Upstairs are the three large bedrooms, the master of which includes a walk-in wardrobe and contrast marble-tiled statement bathroom.

Project details

Outside, there’s a deck with canopy roof and manageable green space, and inside there’s LED strip lighting, high-end fixtures and fittings, and hidden appliances – all allowing for a modern and low-maintenance lifestyle.

The white and bright interior is sleek yet varying heights of built-in joinery ensures this whole house feels cosy. It also contains fully-ducted air conditioning, and gas fireplaces (inside and out), to ensure year-round comfort in the seasonal Canterbury weather.
